KFC helps college girls with special stipends

This has been a tough one for me. On one hand, the story of the students who turn to stripping and phone sex to pay their tuition is so trashy that it’s hard to skip more stories like that. On the other hand, KFC threw me a curve by labeling their new promotion a “stipend”. Well, stipends are a dime-a-dozen and colleges can make anything look wholesome and collegiate by just giving it the right term. Why drug companies and weapons manufacturers pay stipends to grad students all of the time. That’s not news

In the end, I decided I had to give more attention to KFC’s plan to give young women a stipend to wear sweatpants advertising the new “double down” sandwich. Although I wasn’t aware of it until now, KFC makes one so-called sandwich without “buns”. So they want to hire the buns of girls, er women. Some politically correct women are more than willing to help KFC get free publicity in USA Today by being predictably upset when Bruce Horovitz called for quotes. If he dug a bit deeper, he probably could have found a sex-positive feminist who is predictably upset that KFC used sweatpants instead of hot pants.

But I don’t think that Bruce Horovitz would ever think of calling me who would say that if the feminists really wanted to save the women of our country from the horror of selling their bodies to promote unhealthy food, well, they could push the university to cut costs, shed excess programs and lower tuition so it’s all affordable.
