Tamar Lewin at the NY Times informs us that Dartmouth is nailing the coffin on the AP exam. They won’t give credit for them.
And why should they? The kids are beating down the doors to get an IVY LEAGUE experience even if it’s sometimes a bit creepy.
But could it be that clever undergraduates were saving $5000+ per course? Frankly I’m a bit skeptical about the way that they tested the incoming AP students with last year’s Psych 1 exam. The material was probably pretty different. Of course they wouldn’t do so well. Just another way to keep the kids on the plantation for a full four years.
