Schools help students fudge their resumes and backgrounds

Was it Stalin who would worked his pre-Photoshop magic to edit the past? Wonderful schools like Johns Hopkins are now following in his tradition and working together to help students “scrub” away all of their best stories from their college years. Or so reports Carolyn Thompson from the AP. Okay, I’m stretching a bit on this one, but why are we spending $250k+ for college if we need to scrub away the history?  I thought the things we do at college are supposed to make us more employable?

  2. As has often been observed, the truly talented would do just as well without the degree. Edgar Allan Poe, Evelyn Waugh and Arthur Koestler were academic washouts but still managed to put pen to paper.
