It’s looking more and more like you should put those videos of “Ally McBeal” and “LA Law” on the shelf with the other fantasies about a long-lost time like “Camelot”, “Lost Horizon” or “Knute Rockne, All American”. Paul Campos, the formerly anonmymous blogger, offers some staggering statistics from the graduates of his school, the University of Colorado at Boulder. This is often considered the best school in Colorado and some call it “Tier One”, whatever that means.
…a close look at the employment and salary statistics for my law school’s 2010 class reveals that 93 of 183 graduates had a full time long-term position requiring a law degree nine months after graduation, and that we had been able to identify only 36 of those graduates who had a salary of $56,000 or more.
Wow. Only about 20% of the class of 2010 are making $56k or more.
